The IWC Portugieser Chronograph (ref. IW371609) updates one of the brand’s most recognisable designs with subtle mechanical and aesthetic refinements. This reference preserves the clean, nautical-inspired layout of the original while introducing a more contemporary black dial and an exhibition caseback – signalling the mechanical shift beneath the surface.

Housed in a 41mm stainless steel case, the watch features a pared-back dial design with applied Arabic numerals, feuille hands, and twin subdials positioned at 6 and 12 o’clock. Inside is the in-house calibre 69355, a column-wheel chronograph movement visible through the sapphire display back, offering 46 hours of power reserve. Water-resistant to 30 m, the watch maintains a slim, elegant profile despite the added complexity.
